Giclée

Drawings can be some of the most difficult art works to reproduce. Great care must be taken to ensure extremely high resolution scans are taken of the originals to ensure reproduction of the finest of lines. Pencil sketches may be composed af very feint or soft pencil lines and they can be extremely small or narrow and only a scan of resolution of 1200 dpi or more will handle this deatil adequately. It is very unlikely that a digital photograph could capture the detail and a photograph would need to be on 5 x 4" if the print size was to be any larger than A3
